Day 1 The Beginning
Yesterday was just the beginning of an absolutely amazing pilgrimage here to Rome. It had its ups and downs, many hours in the air, many movies watched, and a whole lot of jet lag but finally made it to our final destination, Rome. The apartments here are absolutely beautiful, but also nice and cozy. The city itself, even though we have only seen just a small glimpse, is spectacular. The food is amazing and the buildings are breath taking. Even though we were only out and about for part of a day we did so much and saw so many beautiful areas ranging from the Church of St. Agnes to a 500 year old Jesuit residence where we had the opportunity to go to mass and confession. Though it has only been part of a day and the jet lag was rough for the beginning there was still so much to be gotten out of the day. We had the opportunity to visit the Church of St. Agnes and see her skull and we got to see th tomb of St. Catherine of Sienna and saw many more tombs of many great artists, Saints, Popes, kings, and queens in just a little span of time. What struck the most is that no matter the age of them, all of them gave their life over to God’s will and lived it out to the fullest whether it was a long life or a short one. They fully gave everything they had in service of God’s will rather than their own. Many have gone before us serving out the will of God and there will be many after us who will continue to serve His will, the real question is are we serving out His will each and everyday?
So glad you are having a wonderful trip, you will have these memories for a lifetime! So happy your experience is having such a positive effect on your life! Cannot wait to hear about it!

Great reflection Trey - the real question is are we serving out His will each and everyday? Focus on this and you shall be rewarded.
